The Lansing Art Gallery, 113 S. Washington Square, in Lansing, will hold a community reception from 7-9 p.m. Friday in honor of three new exhibitions.
The Mezzanine Gallery will display the work of several Michigan artists as part of its “Michigan Wildlife Art Masters” exhibition. The featured artists are Gijsbert van Frankenhuyzen, Heiner Hertling, Rod Lawrence, Catherine McClung and Timothy Widener. The exhibit runs until Dec. 23.
The main gallery will feature photography by Gale Nobes. Nobes was the Black and White Magazine 2007 Portfolio Contest winner.
The gallery showcase also will display the work of the Women Heartfully (making) Art Together (W.H.A.T.) group, a collective of Michigan women artists.
