The East Lansing Police Department has identified a suspect for at least two of the five explosions that occurred during the summer months. Police said they identified a 20-year-old male MSU student from Linden, Mich., who might have been responsible for two of the recent series of explosions. On May 25, the first explosion at the intersection of Grove and Elizabeth streets was reported.

Here we go with people not wanting to be held accountable for their actions. Let’s not forget the damage that was caused to OTHER people’s property. It was also said somewhere that the ATFe (Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) was involved in the investigation. This kid will be lucky if he’s not facing any federal charges. The feds don’t mess around. If he’s charged locally, I’m sure they’ll just slap him on the wrist just like they do the much more serious criminal offenders.

This TERRORIST detonated a bomb that ripped a hole 3 feet wide in a huge STEEL DUMPSTER! Apparently, he is responsible for multiple bombings! Apparently, he was practicing his skills, like Timothy McVeigh for his next big attack. Start with water-boarding, and then let’s find out his supply network and other terrorist allies.

Seriously, this kid probably just thought he had some firecrackers and had no idea the power of those explosives that he allegedly found in a repossessed vehicle.

The FEDS will likely prosecute this to the maximum, but they will not seek the death penalty, because nobody got killed. But the explosions may have CAUSED the thundershowers that rained-out much of the Folk Festival. I would like the FEDS to investigate the ELPD’s and ELFD’s intentional damage of the former Citizens Bank building—according to the Jane Meddaugh affidavit! That’s is the real sham and waste of $60 MILLION of taxpayer dollars.

It’s important to let young people discover themselves. Sometimes, explosives and small arms are a part of this experience, and it’s really not appropriate to severely punish them. I agree with the first poster: Give him or her a stern warning, require an apology to the dumpster company, and move on.

Seriously, if illegal explosives use is criminalized, what’s next? Drunk driving? Party rape?! Are you TRYING to make people grow up?
