Breslin to air NCAA Tournament games Saturday

By Chris Vannini Originally Published: 04/01/09 3:39pm Modified: 04/02/09 1:23am 2 comments

Even though the Spartans will be playing 90 miles away, MSU basketball fans have the opportunity to watch the MSU men’s basketball team play Saturday from inside the friendly confines of Breslin Center.

Breslin will be open for the public to watch both Final Four basketball games Saturday between MSU and Connecticut, and North Carolina and Villanova.

Doors open at 5 p.m. and the Spartans tip off against Connecticut at about 6 p.m. The UNC vs. Villanova game is scheduled for about 8:45 p.m.

Admission and parking both are free.

If the Spartans advance past UConn, Breslin will also open for that game at 8:15 p.m. Breslin will not open if the Spartans aren’t playing.

Great idea! I was there when the Spartans won in 2000 and it was a fantastic way to watch the game with a crowd.
