MSU got off to a quick start in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, closing out the first half leading Cleveland State 2-0.
Sophomore forward Adam Montague got the ball rolling on an assist from senior midfielder Nick Wilson about twelve minutes into the game.
The pair struck again about 10 minutes later later, when Wilson got the ball from Montague and junior defender Kevin Cope to rocket it into the net and bring MSU’s lead to 2-0.
Shots were four for MSU to Cleveland State’s three. MSU had the half’s only corner kick.
