Injury to Connor Kruse will cause adjustments to offensive line

August 18, 2014

MSU football has once again been bit by the injury bug, this time coming on the offensive side of the ball with senior offensive lineman Connor Kruse going down in Friday’s scrimmage.

Kruse is expected to miss an indefinite amount of time with the injury currently undisclosed. However, Head Coach Mark Dantonio said the injury is not season ending, with a possibility of returning for the trip to No. 3 Oregon on Sept. 6, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Kruse saw regular playing time last season as part of the offensive line rotation and was expected to start at right guard this season. He has played in 28 career games as fifth-year senior.

With the injury to Kruse, junior offensive lineman Donavon Clark will now move from his starting right tackle position to right guard, and sophomore offensive lineman Kodi Kieler will step up into the starting right tackle position.
