Okemos High School students were evacuated this morning following a false-alarm shooting that was a part larger series of false reports in high schools throughout the state.
“It’s a really big responsibility. I think the idea of adopting an animal is really glamorized, especially for college students … I think it’s great when people want to adopt animals, … (but) people should make a pros and cons list of owning a pet (before adopting),” human biology junior Sydney June said.

Safe drinking water is being supplied by the Lansing Board of Water and Light. Customers are still being asked to conserve water and refrain from all high uses of water such as showers, baths, laundry and dishes until further notice.
Their oaths and the appointment of an eighth trustee mean the board is operating with all seats filled, and the search for a permanent university president can begin.
