The MSU Volleyball team, fresh off their upset victory against Ohio State, saw their winning streak come to an end as the Penn State Lady Lions swept the Spartans in Jenison Field House Saturday night.
The MSU volleyball team set a season high with 10 service aces en route to a convincing sweep over the sixth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in Jenison Field House Wednesday evening.
The MSU Women Volleyball team, fresh off a sweep over Rutgers, faces their toughest task this week.
The Spartans came into Wednesday’s matchup with Maryland with an 11-6 record, and a .500 record in conference play.
Michigan State volleyball closed out their road trip with two games last week, the first of which in Lincoln, Nebraska against the powerful Cornhuskers volleyball team. Nebraska was ranked number four in the country heading into the contest, fresh off a win against Penn State, a perennial championship contender in women’s volleyball.
The Michigan State volleyball team is hitting the road to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers tonight, and will continue that road trip with a stop in Iowa City to go against the Iowa Hawkeyes.
MSU Volleyball began the Big Ten season with a win over Indiana Friday night. The Spartans swept the Hoosiers in the three straight sets to improve to 9-3 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.
Junior transfer outside hitter Autumn Bailey has torn her ACL and will miss the remainder of this season, according to head coach Cathy George as she told reporters in a press conference held earlier this morning. Bailey was a highly anticipated transfer student from Marquette University.
The season starts in Lexington, Ky. for the MSU women’s volleyball team. The Spartans will play AVCO 15th ranked Kentucky on Friday, Aug. 28.
