Men's soccer team wins physical game

The Big Bear Trophy was up for grabs Sunday afternoon. But the MSU men’s soccer team is returning it to its cage in the Spartans’ locker room, as they defeated Michigan 2-1 on Sunday at DeMartin Stadium at Old College Field.

MSU thumps Bowling Green for 2nd straight win

It was a tale of two halves for the MSU men’s soccer team Wednesday. The Spartans played the first half without a sense of urgency, but came out of the gates flying in the second half, scoring both goals within the first six minutes en route to a 2-1 victory over Bowling Green at DeMartin Stadium at Old College Field.

Ricondo's game-winner gives MSU 1st Big Ten win

For the first time in the history of the MSU men’s soccer program, the Spartans beat No. 23 Indiana in Bloomington, Ind. And the win came in dramatic fashion, with junior midfielder Jeff Ricondo scoring the lone goal of the match in the 102nd minute of double overtime, giving the Spartans the 1-0 victory.

Spartans lose, remain winless in Big Ten

Both the MSU men’s soccer team and its opponent, Wisconsin, were searching for their first conference victory Sunday afternoon in Madison, Wisc. After playing to a 1-1 deadlock through regulation, it appeared the game would go down in the books as a tie.
