MSU Child Development Labs to expand after receiving $2.1 million in funding

“It is a great experience for MSU students who take their labs through the child development lab to be able to have experiences with a diverse population,” Child Development Laboratories Director Laurie Linscott said. “Our university students, when they go into the field of teaching, will have had their lab experiences being able to work with children and families of diversity.”

“Unfortunately because you don't get to talk to anyone or advocate for yourself (while using AI), it makes it really hard to sort of explain what stuttering is and what stuttering is not,” Herring said. “Being able to self-disclose and explain that the amount of fluency I have won't impact my ability to do this job, and there's just not there's no chance to do that.”
