On a beautiful fall day at DeMartin Stadium, the MSU Women’s Soccer team (8-4-1, 1-3-1 Big Ten) was dominated by Iowa’s speed and athleticism (12-2, 4-2 Big Ten), as the Hawkeyes won 3-0. The Lady Spartans were undefeated at DeMartin prior to this matchup, but the Hawkeyes were not intimidated.

Senior night celebrations Thursday evening at DeMartin Soccer Stadium were halted by a slow start by Michigan State (5-8-3, 0-7-2 Big Ten) and the Scarlett Knight's ability to dominate time of possession early, as Rutgers (10-2-5, 6-1-3 Big Ten) spoiled the night with a 1-0 victory and gave the Spartans their sixth straight loss.

Fresh off a 2-0 victory versus in-state rival Oakland Thursday, MSU (5-1-1) was stifled by an undefeated Colorado squad and fell to the Buffaloes, 3-0.
