Michigan State's losing streak hit a new low last Saturday in a 44-10 loss to Michigan. The Spartans took an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter, then the Wolverines poured it on with no signs of showing mercy. Now, Michigan State's losing streak is at five games. And with the Spartans sitting at 4-6, there is zero room for error. If the Spartans want to play in a bowl game, they must win their final two games, starting with Saturday's matchup against the Scarlet Knights.

The only time Michigan State was ineligible for a bowl game under coach Mark Dantonio was in 2016, when the Spartans went 3-9. They are cutting it close this season, going 5-6, with just one game left. MSU took down their first challenge on the road yesterday, 27-0, and will finish at home against Maryland next week.
