Spartans Against Gun Violence will hold student-organized candlelight vigil at The Rock beginning at 6 p.m. on Feb. 21.
Spartans Against Gun Violence is a student-led organization through MSU interested in making change surrounding gun laws and policies.
“We wanted to organize another vigil at The Rock this upcoming Tuesday at 6:00 PM EST when everyone is back on campus as a way to heal as a community,” an Instagram post from the group said.
While there was a vigil held on Wednesday, Feb. 15, many students had already left for home to heal from the mass shooting Monday night that left three students dead and five injured, four still in critical condition.
“We'll have moments of silence to honor the people who passed away during the shooting and those who were injured and traumatized by it,” co-president Hailey Kenward said. “The purpose is really just to come together as a community.”
