Mediterranean restaurant and juicery Zyara Grill — located on Grand River Avenue in East Lansing — has permanently closed its doors, according to the city of East Lansing.
The restaurant appeared to be closed last month, with “Space available” leasing signs hung up outside the store.
Zyara Grill opened in 2021 in the boom of businesses opening in East Lansing as students were returning to campus for in-person classes.
They occupied the previous location of coffee shop Espresso Royal, which was among the earliest businesses to close due to pandemic-influenced financial struggles in March 2020.
Zyara Grill has not posted reasoning for the closure on their Facebook page.
They did not respond to The State News' request to comment.
