Nudge Printing has partnered with MSU's “Zeke the Wonderdog” to launch a vintage T-shirt collection.
Owner of Nudge Printing Gabe Viscomi asked for help with creating new designs for Michigan State fans via Twitter just a few months ago. That’s when Terri Foley, one of Zeke's handlers, reached out to Viscomi about a shirt for Zeke.
Viscomi modeled this design after a previous shirt for Zeke which hadn’t been since the 80s, he said.
“Over the course of 30 years, they’ve had numerous Zeke dogs but this latest one looks a little bit different so they wanted something tailored specifically for this Zeke,” Viscomi said.
This collection features an action shot of Zeke IV jumping in the air catching a frisbee, his signature trick.
“We wanted to have it look vintage and have it look like the original one a little bit just for a better, upgraded version of it,” Viscomi said.
The collection launched on Jan. 26 and is available for pre-order up until Feb. 6. The collection includes a T-shirt, hoodie, and a bumper sticker. Customers who buy a T-shirt will also receive a 20% coupon for future MSU gear.
“You’ve got kids that like him, parents and their grandparents have all seen the same dog going back and forth catching frisbees,” Viscomi said. “Any real Spartan fan knows about Zeke because if they’ve been to a game they know that he’s there.”
