Michigan State redshirt junior wide receiver Jayden Reed announced via Twitter that he will return to Michigan State for the 2022 season.

Reed was a dynamic playmaker on offense and was redshirt sophomore quarterback Payton Thorne’s favorite target, leading the team with 58 catches for 1,026 yards and 10 touchdowns. The duo from Naperville, Illinois served as a key lifeline for Michigan State’s resurgent offense in the 2021 season. The two will return next season with an opportunity to rewrite the Michigan State passing record books.

Reed also ranked second in the FBS in punt returns for touchdowns with three and was named third-team All-Big Ten. He will have redshirt sophomore wide receiver Tre Mosley by his side after junior wideout Jalen Nailor declared for the 2022 NFL draft yesterday.
