The entire narrative of the Michigan State men's basketball team has changed since the university shifted into winter break.
The green and white are no longer undefeated, slipping 8-4 overall and 2-4 in conference to the astonishment of both fans and Head Coach Tom Izzo after blowing a 17-point lead against Purdue on Friday.
This is only the third week since the start of the 2017-18 season that the team is not featured in the AP polls.
The top six teams have not moved since last week and remain with No. 1 Gonzaga, No. 2 Baylor, No. 3 Villanova, No. 4 Texas, No. 5 Iowa and No. 6 Kansas.
