Senior center Jenna Allen was honored after Michigan State defeated Michigan, 74-64, for her contribution to the team over the last four years.
MSU coach Suzy Merchant and Allen were both visibly emotional while watching Allen's career highlight reel.
"Michigan State is a special place ... It's the best four years of their life and I think they just have to embrace adversity, embrace the grind and I truly believe if they stick to themselves and just work hard each and every day they'll deserve the outcomes." Allen said she tells younger girls about playing college basketball.
