Monthly tornado siren test canceled due to storms

October 5, 2018

Tommorow's scheduled monthly test of tornado sirens across Ingham County has been canceled due to forecasted thunderstorms, according to the county's Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management.

The agency said if sirens go off tomorrow, it will be due to an actual weather emergency.

"With thunderstorms in the forecast for tomorrow, we are cancelling the monthly outdoor warning (tornado) siren test Sat 10/6/2018 for all of Ingham County," the county's statement reads. "Normally they are tested the first Saturday of each month. If you hear a siren tomorrow it is a real alert."
