If for some reason you're not already buzzing with excitement about MSU's upcoming football game against Alabama, these hype videos will help get you pumped.
Media and Information junior Dan Stephens has spent his winter break hyping up Spartan fans with a collection of videos he made in anticipation of the upcoming face-off between MSU and Alabama in the Cotton Bowl.
A recent video, 'Destiny in Dallas,' highlights MSU's underdog status as the team nips at the heels of No. 2 Alabama. If this one doesn't give you goosebumps, we don't know what will.
Stephens also created another pre-playoff hype video, which plays on MSU's history and calls upon black and white photos to get you really riled up to kick some Bama butt.
But if you're looking for some more lighthearted playoff fun, Stephens also created a hilarious Star Wars-inspired video, featuring Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban as Darth Vader, and University of Michigan's Jim Harbaugh as none other than Emperor Palpatine.
"I was inspired to make these because it is stuff like this that can help bring the Spartan Nation together," Stephens said. "Since Alabama is favored to win the national championship by 42 percent and we are the least favored team, naturally, I wanted to make a video that showcases what can happen when you doubt a team like Michigan State. We thrive with the underdog status."
Stephens said when inspiration strikes, he can usually crank out a video in about 10 hours.
"I'm proud of the team I support and the school I go to," he said. "Spartan Football is an inspiring story in itself."
