MSU’s annual homecoming parade will begin tonight at 6 p.m.
MSU student groups prepare floats for homecoming parade
Staging for the parade begins at 4:30 p.m., which will start at the corner of Abbot and Burcham, travel south on Abbot, east on Grand River Avenue through East Lansing, south at Collingwood entrance, south on Farm Lane and conclude at the corner of Farm and Shaw Lanes.
According to the city of East Lansing’s website, the parade will feature the Spartan Marching Band, the MSU Alumni Band, the MSU Cheerleaders and Dance Team, MSU student organizations, Greek sororities and fraternities, East Lansing community groups, Michigan high school bands and more.
“I think doing the floats and being a part of the parade is great way to get our name out there, to really interact with the students, but also to show some interactions with the community as well,” said Dominique Clemons, president of ASMSU during float building activities which were held at Spartan Stadium during evening hours earlier this week.
