President Bill Clinton greets graduates during commencement ceremonies May 5, 1995 at Spartan Stadium.

Former President Bill Clinton will be on campus Wednesday, Nov. 18 at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.

Clinton will be speaking as a part of the Governor Jim Blanchard Public Service Forum.

Former Michigan governor and current ambassador to Canada James J. Blanchard and his wife donated $1 million to MSU to create the Spartan Statesmanship Award for Distinguished Public Service — Clinton is the first recipient.

“We are honored that Bill Clinton accepted this award and agreed to come to campus,” former Governor Jim Blanchard said in a press release.

Only a small number of students will be invited to attend the event.

Former Governor of Michigan Jennifer Granholm and Governor Rick Snyder have not yet been confirmed to attend this event.
