Women's Resource Center finds new interim director

The MSU Women's Resource Center has seen a new interim director who began her tenure early in the summer semester.

Lydia Weiss took over from Jayne Schuiteman, who has taken a position as the Senior Institutional Equity Investigator at MSU, according to a WRC statement. 

Weiss received her B.A. from MSU's College of Social Science and her M.A. in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Cincinnati, the statement read, and she served as the WRC Educational Program Coordinator for over two years.

She "is dedicated to advancing gender equity and creating a climate of professional and academic success at MSU," according to the statement.

The Center provides education programs and is committed strategies advancing the status of women.
