“What I liked about it is that their pizza was ... actual quality pizza. Also the amount of TVs they had was a pretty cool way to see all the sports. The personalized televisions in the individual booth was what made it a good experience.” — Tyler Jelonek, accounting senior

Those who come to Peppino’s in East Lansing can enjoy food and entertainment. Peppino’s has more than 50 high definition TVs for visitors to watch up close on game days. They offer a wide variety of award-winning specialty pizzas, and main dishes such as pastas, steaks, and wings. For entertainment, they have a full-size shuffleboard table and DJs on the weekends.

Spartan Hall of Fame Cafe

“I liked the atmosphere, it’s definitely a great sports bar. There was a lot of basketball athletes there a couple times I went. Great TVs, friendly staff and the food is pretty good. I ordered a burger when I went there.” — Joey Salah, landscape design construction and management senior

According to their website, Spartan Hall of Fame Cafe has the largest collection of MSU memorabilia as their decor. Visitors can enjoy handmade casual American dining or choose from their signature items. They offer dishes ranging from caramelized salmon, bourbon chicken or their barbecue ribs. Students say Spartan Hall of Fame Cafe is a great place to visit during game days with a family-friendly atmosphere with their high definition plasma TVs located throughout the facility.

The Peanut Barrel

“I can actually hear the people I’m talking to next to me. The food is great and we usually get good deals.” — Brian Popis , construction management junior

Construction management juniors Jon Meek and Popis said they enjoy eating at Peanut Barrel because it’s low-key. Meek said his favorite item is Peanut Barrel’s famous Rodeo Burger, which has cheese and bacon. They have a variety of sandwiches, salads and burgers that can all be accompanied with fries. They also have lunch specials Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Buffalo Wild Wings

“Whenever my dad comes up to visit, we always go to B-Dubs to watch Sunday football. My favorite flavor is Asian zing and they have a great appetizer selection. I love the fried mushrooms.” — Kelsie Hoffman, psychology freshman

Equipped with numerous large screen TVs, B-Dubs is a popular go-to place for students to watch sports and order some wings. B-Dubs has promotional offers during the week. Wing Tuesdays have discounted wings all day, and Boneless Thursdays offers boneless wings that are specially priced all day long. At a cheaper price, students can try different sauces and seasonings.
