Car crash stops traffic on westbound Grand River

A two-car collision occurred at westbound Grand River Avenue and Collingwood Drive at about 6:30 p.m., according to the East Lansing Police Department.

ELPD Lt. Steve Gonzalez said one driver disregarded a red light and proceeded to drive through it, causing the accident. Both drivers were injured and sent to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The accident momentarily stopped traffic, but has since been cleared.
