Student allegedly assaulted near Yakeley Hall

Police are investigating an alleged assault that occurred at about 12:30 a.m. March 23 at the intersection of Beal Street and West Circle Drive.

A 19-year-old female student told police she walked past a bus stop on her way to Yakeley Hall when two men at the bus stop began following her, according to a statement from MSU police.

The victim told police one of the men approached her from behind, grabbed her wrist and hit her in the face with an unidentified object. She suffered minor injuries.

When the two men saw a car drive by, the victim said they ran off.

She described one of the suspects as a college-age male of about 6 feet tall. He was last seen in light colored T-shirt, tan pants and a black G-Shock watch.
