Pranked students get spooked on M.A.C Avenue

A perceived prank with a $100 bill attached to a string went awry Tuesday night when an unidentified man reportedly jumped out of the bushes near an East Lansing church.

A victim told police they noticed a $100 bill on the sidewalk near St. John Church and Student Center, 327 M.A.C. Ave., East Lansing police Capt. Jeff Murphy said.

The victim then noticed a man hiding in the bushes.

When authorities arrived, the man could not be located, Murphy said.
