Film collective gives screening

September 26, 2012

The MSU Film Collective will be screening two short movies at 8 p.m. Thursday in B122 Wells Hall.
The group will show “La Jetee” and “Nostalgia,” with a group discussion afterward.

Peter Johnston, the digital media and film production manager at MSU, said the weekly screening is a great way to promote the fall series and expose students to a wider range of films.

“Every semester, the faculty and graduate students pick movies they love,” he said. “Sometimes, they are well known, but usually, they are not typical and include foreign or experimental.”

The theme for this year’s Film Collective’s fall series is Time and Memory and is a playoff of a planned exhibit for the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum: In Search of Time.

The event is free of charge and open to the public.
