Case Hall employee suffers facial burns

A 19-year-old female student and MSU employee suffered minor burns on the job at 12:20 p.m. Jan. 11 at the cafeteria in Case Hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The victim was pouring hot coffee into a sink while working in the cafeteria when the liquid splashed back on the right side of her face, McGlothian-Taylor said.

Medics described the burn as minor, and the victim was transported to Lansing’s Sparrow Hospital for further examination.
