The No. 16 MSU men’s basketball team played No. 13 Indiana in a game of ups and downs, but came out on top, 80-65, Wednesday at Breslin Center.
The Spartans (12-2 overall, 1-0 Big Ten) jumped out to a 34-16 lead before the Hoosiers (12-1, 0-1) went on a 25-2 run of their own.
The Spartans came back with a 20-0 run and finished off the game with their 12th consecutive win.
Sophomore guard Appling led MSU with 25 points and seven assists.
