Symphony to give holiday concert

The Lansing Symphony Orchestra will perform their annual Holiday Pops concert at 3 p.m. Dec. 11 at Wharton Center’s Great Cobb Hall.

Led by Maestro Timothy Muffitt, the symphony will play numerous holiday songs and feature vocalist Diane Penning.

Specially-selected student musicians from local high schools will perform Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite” alongside the remainder of the orchestra.

Audience members have a chance to win various prizes from a raffle, including trips for two to Cancun, Mexico and Mackinac Island, Mich.
