Trustee Owen, husband doing well after car accident

MSU Trustee Faylene Owen and her husband, Larry, were discharged from Lansing’s Sparrow Hospital on Friday following a car crash Nov. 1.

The couple is recovering in their home with a doctor available, Owen said Tuesday evening.
Owen said her husband suffered 12 broken ribs and a punctured lung, while she has a slight break in her neck and is badly bruised across her body.

“It’s going to be slow going … (and) we are on the mend,” Owen said. “We want to thank everyone for their well wishes — it’s certainly helping.”
