The MSU Department of Theatre, MSU College of Music and MSU Community Music School recently received more than $10,000 in grants from the Arts Council of Greater Lansing.
The Department of Theatre and College of Music each received $4,000 and the Community Music School received $2,781.
The organizations will use the grant money to present several events including free film screenings and concerts.
On October 19, the Department of Theatre will co-sponsor a free screening of “The Evil Dead,” an original film by alumnus Sam Raimi, in collaboration with the East Lansing Film Festival.
