Select students from Michigan high schools will join the MSU Symphony Orchestra at 8 p.m. Saturday at Wharton Center.

About 80 high school students will participate in the second annual MSU High School Strings Invitational. During the two-day event, students will work with MSU string faculty in classes, rehearsals and workshops. Students will showcase what they learned during the concert as they play “The Planets” with the MSU Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and free for students and children under 18. Tickets can be purchased at the Wharton Center box office.
