MSU’s Julian Samora Research Institute will celebrate its 20th anniversary by hosting a conference Nov. 6-7 at the Marriott at University Place, 300 M.A.C. Ave.
The conference, which will highlight Latino contributions and their impact on Michigan’s economy, includes a series of panels on issues including civic participation and community building.
Jorge Bustamante, the United Nations’ special rapporteur on migrants’ rights, will give the keynote speech.
Conference registration, which includes panels, continental breakfast, lunch and an evening reception, is $150 per person or $75 for students. For more information, call (517) 432-7186.
