MSU activities board receives awards

November 11, 2008

MSU’s University Activities Board walked away from the National Association for Campus Activities’ 2008 Mid America Regional Conference with six awards for its work throughout the past year.

MSU competed against more than 50 universities from around the country.

UAB received recognition for Program of the Year, Outstanding Original Program, Outstanding Multi-Cultural Program, Outstanding Themed Campaign, Outstanding Low Cost Program and Outstanding Poster/Graphics.

Submitted projects were judged at the conference by association students, staff and associates from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1.

“These awards are truly a testament to our more than 60 dedicated student volunteers and four full-time staff who work tirelessly to provide quality, entertaining and alcohol-free campus events to the MSU community,” UAB manager Tami Kuhn said in a statement. “We love what we do with our students, for our students, and it shows.”
