A memorial fund to honor Joe Barton, the MSU junior who died Aug. 20 in a car crash on U.S. 127, has been established by his family.
Barton graduated from Saline High School, and was a member of the track and cross country teams.
Scholarship founded, honors student
The fund will award college scholarships to a member of the Saline boys or girls cross country or track team who exemplifies Barton’s character and academic achievement.
Contributions can be made to “The Joe B. Run Fund” at the United Bank and Trust, 200 N. Maple Road, in Saline.
