June 22, 2008

Detroit Renaissance safety/wide receiver Dana Dixon has verbally committed to MSU, giving the football team its eighth recruit of the 2009 season, Spartanmag.com reported Friday.

Dixon is a three-star recruit and the 69th best safety prospect in the country, according to Rivals.com. He selected MSU over Louisville and Northwestern.

Dixon is a high school teammate of four-star linebacker Chris Norman, who verbally committed to MSU in February.
