MSU women’s basketball head coach Suzy Merchant is still searching for a leader.
With nine underclassmen filling the Spartans’ roster, it has been a struggle for Merchant to uncover a leader on the young squad.
Young Spartans lacking leadership
“That’s how it is, so we can’t cry about it, we have to step up to the plate and keep working at it,” Merchant said. “At the end of the day, all you can do is put in an honest day’s work and that’s what we’re doing, sometimes (working) longer than honest days
