Top 5 tracks to study to before exams

December 3, 2007

Like ninjas creeping up behind us watching our every move, this semester’s exams are ready to pounce on our backs mercilessly.

Take the upper hand and tell those creeper ninjas who’s boss.

Gear yourself up for exams with this playlist just for studying – and don’t forget your No. 2 pencil.

1. “Down on My Knees” by Ayo

This reggae acoustic tune is enough to keep you awake, yet low-key enough to keep your mind on your exams. Ayo’s intense vocals are ideal for expressing your own study frustrations.

2. “I Am The Walrus” by Bono and the Secret Machines

From the “Across the Universe” soundtrack, Bono and the Secret Machines mix up the classic Beatles tune. And unlike most remakes, it’s actually quite alluring.

3. “Everything I Am” by Kanye West

Sure, it’s sort of annoying to study to music by the college dropout himself, but “Everything I Am” is the sort of jam that’s smooth enough not to make you want to chuck your calculus book out the window.

4. “Last $20” by MoZella

You’re broke. It’s cold. You’re in college. This song sums that up completely.

5. “My Favourite Book” by Stars

That stupid book you have to read for your ISS class is definitely not your favorite book, but with this Stars song you can pretend.
