Scooter stolen from rack
A yellow motorized scooter valued at $1,200 was stolen from a Spartan Village bike rack area Tuesday night, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. A 23-year-old student reported that his 2005 Zongshen scooter with white tires and bird wing decals was taken after parking it next to a bike rack overnight, McGlothian-Taylor said. The scooter’s handlebars were locked, but the moped wasn’t locked to a bike rack, McGlothian-Taylor said. The theft is still under investigation.
