Woman punched in car

A 38-year-old female was punched in the face early Friday morning by a drunken student after he walked in front of the victim’s car and began pushing down on its hood, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. At 2:20 a.m., the female employee was leaving the Music Building in her car when an intoxicated 19-year-old student stepped in front of the vehicle and tried rocking the car by pushing on the hood of the car, McGlothian-Taylor said. When the victim rolled down her window and asked for the student to stop, he went around to the driver’s side of the car and punched her in the face, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student fled but was later arrested by police.
