When Kirk Domer began working in the MSU Department of Theatre six years ago, he brought his love for video and digital set design and experience working with several productions to center stage. Today, Domer is head of design and associate chairman for the department, where he teaches classes in scene design, scene painting and digital design while lending his gifts to theater companies across the nation, including a world premiere adaptation of the operetta, or short opera, “Pride and Prejudice.” Domer takes his students on a lot of his professional gigs so they can gain experience. “I wouldn’t rather work with anyone else,” he said.
