Word on the street

How did you feel after last year's football team lost to Notre Dame?

Brittany Greenleaf

“I was in complete and utter disbelief. It was also my first loss I had ever experienced as an MSU student because I was a freshman, so I was crushed. I actually went back to my dorm with my friend and we sat there and cried and watched depressing movies the rest of the night.”

Brittany Greenleaf
social work sophomore

“I don’t know. It was just a huge letdown. Everyone in the whole crowd was in a huge state of euphoria and then it was pretty much shot down.”

Kevin Leonard
general management sophomore

“Well, first I was surprised actually because I left my friends’ apartment and they were winning. Then I got some food probably about a half-hour away and came back and they were catching up. Then we were losing. We weren’t playing well. We had thrown the ball away. Our defense was letting their offense run them over. We weren’t doing anything to stop them.”

Josh Wesley
psychology senior

“It was taken from us. It was so fun being there because it was raining and everyone stayed because everyone’s expecting a win. Then it was just taken, so we stayed and we just got wet. I was a little upset.”

Elizabeth Jasiak
human resource management senior

“We were all completely stunned and kind of depressed because we all had said we were going to win the game. We waited and waited around just to see us lose.”

Nicole Lewis
elementary education junior
