Local events to remember Sept. 11 victims on anniversary

September 9, 2007

East Lansing community members will promote peace and mourn for those who died Sept. 11, 2001 on Tuesday in an event near the MSU Union.

The event, sponsored by the Greater Lansing Network Against War & Injustice, will take place from 5-6:30 p.m. on the median of Grand River Avenue between Abbott Road and M.A.C. Avenue.

Also on Tuesday, at Lansing’s Magdalena’s Teahouse, 2006 E. Michigan Ave., the Peace Education Center will sponsor a free viewing of “9-11 Ripple Effect,” a documentary and investigative time line delving into the attacks.
