An 18-year-old female student employee reported having a Super Big Gulp drink thrown at her after she was called a vulgar name by an unknown woman in her 30s driving an older model Ford Taurus, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The student was checking parking permits in Lot 92, off Service Road on south campus, between 4:30-4:40 p.m. Tuesday. The student said she saw the woman drive up in the black Taurus, and after cursing at her, the woman threw the plastic cup, which hit the vehicle the student was standing near. Liquid from the drink splashed on to the student, McGlothian-Taylor said.A 49-year-old male MSU employee reported a 40-inch wide-screen television missing from the Communication Arts and Sciences Building between noon Jan. 16 and 5 p.m. on Jan. 17, McGlothian-Taylor said. The television, valued at $1,686.98, was located in a room left accessible to the public 50 percent of the time during work hours, McGlothian-Taylor said. The incident is still under investigation, and there were no signs of forced entry.Laura Misjak
