Dantonio receives 2 commitments over weekend visits

MSU head football coach Mark Dantonio scored a pair of verbal commitments over the weekend.

Guard Arthur Ray Jr. and defensive end Michael Jordan, who were at MSU for official visits, will debut with the Spartans next season as part of the first recruiting class under Dantonio and staff.

According to Rivals.com, Ray Jr. boasts a three-star rating and stands 6-foot-2 and 297 pounds.

As a Chicago native, Ray Jr. will graduate from Mount Carmel this spring and enter MSU as a freshman.

Michael Jordan stands 6-foot-6, 280 pounds and boasts a four-star rating according to Rivals.com.

Jordan will be transferring from Eastern Arizona Community College to return to his home state.

Jordan is originally from Grand Rapids.

Jordan and Ray Jr. will officially be able to sign letters of intent on Feb. 7 when the NCAA holds its national signing day for all incoming athletes.
