Two roommates in Gilchrist Hall reported items, including a wallet and iPod, stolen Tuesday while one of the men slept on their loft. Between 8 and 9 a.m., an unknown suspect entered the unlocked room while a 17-year-old resident was asleep, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The other victim, an 18-year-old student, was in class during the time and had left the door closed and unlocked, but when he returned the door was wide open. A 2005 Apple iPod and a brown leather wallet which contained credit cards, $5 in cash and various forms of identification were stolen from the desk and microwave area of the dorm room, McGlothian-Taylor said. The incident is still under investigation.Maggie Lillis
