The MSU men's soccer team will play Valparaiso in its second-to-last home game of the season at 4 p.m. today. Valparaiso brings a 7-6-0 overall, 2-2-0 Mid-Con record to face the Spartans, who sit at 7-5-2 and 0-2-2 in the Big Ten.
MSU has defeated the Crusaders in the teams' last five meetings, including a 2-0 shutout last season.
Junior forward Kenzo Webster leads MSU in scoring this season with six goals almost half of the team's offensive output for the season.
In their last game, the Spartans defeated Loyola Chicago behind a penalty kick goal from senior midfielder Matt Kreikemeier with 10 seconds remaining in regulation. The win snapped a five-game winless streak for MSU.
