A 55-year-old male Holt resident reported his custom gold ring taken between 6:30 and 8:15 p.m. on Aug. 7 at the Clinical Center. The man put his items in a locker before attending a scheduled procedure and collected them afterward but didn't notice anything missing until the next day, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The 14 karat gold ring with a flat surface had a raised "Jesus fish" on a black background, she said. The ring is worth about $750.A 28-year-old female Okemos resident reported her purse stolen from her car between 1 and 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the University Club parking lot. The woman was swimming at the club and went back and forth to her car throughout the afternoon, McGlothian-Taylor said. The purse contained various gift cards, cosmetics and designer sunglasses, McGlothian-Taylor said. The purse and its contents are worth about $1,000.A 48-year-old male MSU employee reported a piece of golf course equipment stolen between 8 a.m. on July 19 and 8 a.m. on Aug. 7 from Forest Akers West Golf Course. A 1986 Aerifier, a heavy device used to put holes in the ground, was taken from an unlocked storage shed, McGlothian-Taylor said. The equipment is worth about $1,200.A 28-year-old female MSU student reported items taken from her apartment between noon on June 5 and 12:30 a.m. Saturday in Spartan Village. About 35 containers of homemade skin products or cosmetics and a set of knives were taken, McGlothian-Taylor said. Four small screws from a window screen were also missing, which might be where someone entered, she said. The cosmetics and knives are worth about $365.A 21-year-old male MSU student reported a window damaged at 10 a.m. on Aug. 9 on the north end of the Spartan Stadium addition. "It appears someone threw an unidentified object causing the window to shatter," McGlothian-Taylor said.
