A 21-year-old female MSU student was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday after she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend and a police officer while she was intoxicated. Police were called after a female was seen running and screaming, as her 20-year-old boyfriend from Mason chased her on the riverside trail behind Erickson Hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. Her boyfriend of about four months said he was trying to get her home safely when she allegedly assaulted him, leaving scratches and cuts on his stomach, left shoulder and forearm, McGlothian-Taylor said. "Other officers arrived at the scene to assist, and while attempting to interview the female suspect, she was uncooperative, unwilling to answer questions and was assaultive," McGlothian-Taylor said. The female allegedly struck the back of an officer's right shoulder as the officer picked up her wallet, which had fallen on the ground, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student was transported to the Ingham County Jail.A 57-year-old female MSU employee reported a framed picture missing from her office area between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday on the east side of Fee Hall. The 8-by-11-inch picture, titled "Angry Blue Bird," depicted a close-up of a blue bird's face with its feathers puffed out, McGlothian-Taylor said. Her office area was locked during the time period, and there were no signs of forced entry, she said. The picture is worth about $80.A 57-year-old Lansing man was cited for trespassing and urinating in public on Wednesday on Harrison Road near Michigan Avenue. The man was found sleeping at a bus stop and, when roused, said he had been drinking, McGlothian-Taylor said. The man also had a letter of trespassing from March 2006 on file, she said. As the officer wrote up the citation, the man proceeded to urinate on a lamppost and trash can on the sidewalk, she said.A 50-year-old female MSU employee reported her vehicle's window damaged between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the parking lot near the Nisbet Building. The rear driver's side of the employee's blue 1998 Ford Explorer shattered after she closed the front door on the driver's side, McGlothian-Taylor said. After she inspected the window, she found there was an existing hole in the window, McGlothian-Taylor said. The damage is worth about $380.Lindsey Poisson
